On July 28 is commemorated the proclamation of the independence of Peru since 1821, but the celebration of Independence Day goes far beyond remembering this date.
The Peruvian anniversary is about the pride of a country. Of the pride for the Peruvian kitchen worldwide recognized, by the biodiversity, by the incredible millenarian culture, by the races, by the languages, by its friendly people.

And of course, cities are celebrated. To each of them. With all the richness that each one has to offer you. It is celebrated that in just a few hours you can go through the coast, mountains and jungle, and enjoy different dances, music and traditions in each region.

For Peruvians, it has become a habit to travel through the interior of the country in National Holidays, but also for international tourists, since it is probably one of the most beautiful times to do so. It is magic that in every corner of the country different activities are carried out, but that finally the spirit of celebration is what matters.

Great Military Parade on July 29

The Great Military Parade is perhaps the most awaited event by the Peruvians in the year. Hundreds of people gather at the avenida Brasil to watch our Armed Forces parade. The hubbub of the citizens one day before it takes place is similar to that of those fanatics who camp outside the premises to see their idols more closely.
The event, which is held every July 29, always has the assistance of the President of the Republic, the Council of Ministers, the Archbishop of Lima and the Diplomatic Corps.
