Description

The Amazon region is located in the north-eastern part of Peru, it is a region famous in Peru for its misty forests almost during the year, its beautiful stops for hiking and privileged by its microclimates for presenting diversity of natural landscapes, where you can find habitat of orchids, Andean bears and the galito rocks. Pre-Inca archaeological sites such as the Kuelap (a fortress built in between the Andes and the jungle). Mysterious tombs and also Sarcophagi (in Quechua “Purun” means wild and “Machu” means old).

Gastronomy

We can find a variety of exquisite dishes, we recommend that you taste when traveling to the Amazon region where they use various organic producers of the region such as cassava, fish, banana. Among the typical dishes, we can find: Purtumute: It is prepared with beans and mote. These are mixed with a dressing made of coriander or cilantro.
